Orchitis is usually caused by bacteria and viruses. The testicle itself rarely develops bacterial infections. Because the testicles are rich in blood and lymph supply, they are more resistant to bacterial infections. Common pathogens are Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli and so on.

Orchitis is a common disease in males. It is mainly divided into acute suppurative orchitis and mumps orchitis, among which acute suppurative orchitis is the most common one. There are many causes of orchitis, such as infections, trauma, and tumors.

Mostly unilateral, manifested as chills, high fever, scrotum of varying degrees of swelling, accompanied by pain, and radiation to the affected side of the groin and lower abdomen.

Some patients are also accompanied by the following symptoms: dysuria, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, hematuria, etc. Physical examination shows that the scrotum skin is red and swollen, the testicles are swollen, a hot sensation when touch, the tenderness is felt, and there is no obvious testicular hydrocele, which may be accompanied by inguinal lymphadenopathy.

Clinical treatment mainly includes physical therapy, medicinal treatment, and surgical treatment.

1. Physical therapy.

Rest in bed, hold up the scrotum, local hot compress on testis to relieve symptoms and avoid the inflammatory diffusion. Scrotal skin redness can be alleviated with 50% magnesium sulfate solution. If the testicular inflammation is caused by long-term indwelling catheter, the catheter should be removed as soon as possible.

2. Antibiotic treatment.

Before applying antibacterial medication, urine should be collected first for Urine Sediment Smear, bacterial culture and drug susceptibility experiments. Before the results are clear, antibiotics can be selected according to doctor's clinical experience.

Commonly used drugs include penicillins, cephalosporins, and quinolones. In principle, the application of antibiotics is mainly intravenous drip, and the oral medication is changed after the body temperature is normal. The medication time is no less than 1 to 2 weeks to prevent the occurrence of testicular abscess.

3. Surgical treatment.

It is suitable for patients who have undergone strict conservative treatment and whose condition is not relieved. The purpose of the operation is to decompress, drain, remove the diseased tissue, relieve the spermatic cord blood supply disorder, restore the testicular blood supply, promote the absorption and regression of inflammation, and preserve the function of the diseased testicle.

However, surgery is more or less risky, and long-term antibiotic treatment is easy to make the body resistant to drugs, so we recommend the use of natural remedy, such as Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill, the main ingredients are from psyllium seed, dianthus superbus, herba polygoni avicularis, safflower, peach kernel, angelica sinensis, radix paeoniae rubra, houttuynia cordata, and the seed of cowherb, etc. (over 50 kinds of herbs in all).

The diuretic effect of psyllium seed can dispell the swelling and pain of the testicles. The function of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis of the safflower can eliminate the swelling of the inguinal lymph nodes. Along with other over 50 kinds of herbal ingredients, Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill can play a positive role to cure Suppurative Orchitis with no side effects and low rate of recurrence.

Kind Reminder: Patients should avoid spicy food, tobacco and alcoho during the medication, no long-time sitting or standing, no frequent sex or masturbation to achieve a quick recovery.
