Kegel exercise, also known as pelvic exercise, was published in 1948 by Dr. Arnold Kegel of the United States. It is carried out by repeated scaling of the pelvic muscles (also known as the "Kegel muscles"). Now there are tools have been invented to assist the movement, but many of them are ineffective. Kegel exercise is often used to reduce urinary incontinence, postpartum urinary incontinence in women and premature ejaculation in men.

Kegel exercise is considered to be a good method for women to treat vaginal prolapse and prevent uterine prolapse, as well as for men with prostatic pain, benign prostatic hyperplasia enlargement, and prostatitis. Kegel exercise is also helpful in the treatment of male and female urinary incontinence.

Kegel can also increase sexual satisfaction and help improve premature ejaculation. Movements performed by the pubic coccygeal muscles include interruption of urinary flow and anal contraction to stop defecation. Repetition of such muscle movements can enhance the pubic coccygeal muscle.

The action of slowing or interrupting urine flow can be used as a test for correcting pelvic floor motor skills, but should not be used for routine exercises to avoid urinary retention.

So, how to carry out the Kegel exercise?
First make sure your bladder is empty, then sit down or lie down. Tighten your pelvic muscles and stay until you count to 8 and relax to 10.

First of all, we should find the feeling of holding back urine. Of course, it's not asking you to hold back urine, because this habit is bad for patients with prostatitis.

1. Lie down, spread your feet with the width of your shoulders, relax your hips and lower waist, contract your pelvic floor muscle for 5 seconds, then rest for 5 seconds, repeat this action 3-5 times as a group, it can be carried out in three groups.

2. Lie down, bend your knees, holding your breath, lift your hips up and tighten pelvic floor muscles for 3 seconds, then exhale and lie down again. Repeat this action 5-7 times as one group and you can take three groups.

3. Get down on your hands and knees on the floor, tighten the pelvic floor muscles for 5 seconds while holding breath, then you can exhale and relax, repeat this action 3-5 times in a group and you can take 3 groups.

4. Sitting cross-legged, contracting pelvic floor muscles for 5 seconds while holding breath, relax and repeat the action 3-5 times in 3 groups.

5. Sitting with feet separated, fingertips stretched, both feet rotated outward, while contracting pelvic floor muscles for 5 seconds, relax and exhale, repeating the action 3-5 times in 3 groups.

6. Stand up, hold the table with hands, inhale and stand on tiptoe while tightening pelvic floor muscles for 5 seconds, exhale and relax, drop heel, repeat 3-5 times in 3 groups.

Because the treatment of prostatitis is long, it requires progressive treatment of the prostate. Due to the special position of the prostate, it is difficult for general drugs to produce effects, so the therapeutic effect of chemical medicine is not ideal.
