Treatment for prostatitis usually starts with taking antibiotics. If your symptoms disappear, you need to take antibiotic for 1 to 2 weeks to prevent the relapse. But if you don’t feel better, you should have another test and find the best cure for prostatitis. The efficacy depends on how you treat prostatitis.

Clinically, prostatitis can be classified into 3 types: acute prostatitis, chronic bacterial prostatitis, chronic nonbacterial prostatitis. The last one is the most common form of this disease, accounting for 90% of the cases.

prostatitis treatment

Different types of prostatitis require different treatment methods.

Acute prostatitis

Patients with acute prostatitis can be cured efficiently by antibiotics. During the treatment, they must also use pain-relieving drugs, fever medicine, and stool softeners. After having a prostatitis treatment for 4 to 6 weeks at home, patients will fully recover. However, if the prostatitis medicine is inefficient, it will develop into chronic prostatitis.

Chronic bacterial prostatitis

Because antibiotics have antibiosis and anti-inflammation properties, they are commonly used for prostatitis caused by bacteria. Some patients can get rid of the infection completely, but some patients may find their symptoms return after stopping taking medicines. They have to take long-term antibiotics, which increases the risk of inducing complications and developing resistance to drugs.

Under this situation, patients need to find another medication for prostatitis, such as herbal medicine called Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill. It’s natural without any side effects.

Chronic nonbacterial prostatitis/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome

There isn't a standard treatment that can treat well for all men with chronic nonbacterial prostatitis. Patients usually have to try more than one treatment before they can find an efficient way which can control their condition. There are various treatments for chronic nonbacterial prostatitis, such as muscle relaxants, alpha-blockers, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, prostate massage, physical therapy, etc.

There is a new medicine named Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill that can also be used for treating prostatitis that is not caused by bacteria. It can cure chronic nonbacterial prostatitis and acute and chronic bacterial prostatitis.

How does Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill work on prostatitis?

This medicine is made from natural herbs, which can work well in infected areas. It has multiple functions which aim at the symptoms of prostatitis. For example, it contains saffron, semen persicae, angelica sinensis, and radix paeoniae rubra, which can effectively improve blood and Qi flow. Thus, prostate pain can be relieved efficiently. It can also induce diuresis to alleviate stranguria, clear toxins, dissolve blood stasis and dispel dampness. By taking this pill for about three months, most patients can eliminate the symptoms and the root causes of prostatitis permanently.

No matter what treatment you choose for prostatitis, you need to pay attention to the efficacy. If you feel better, you can continue taking this treatment. But if it doesn’t work, you need to choose another prostatitis treatment. What' s more, you should not ignore your daily diet during the treatment. And food or drink that will aggravate the symptoms should be avoided, such as hot and spicy foods, coffee, alcohol, cigarette, red meat, etc.
