Nowadays, men are under much pressure in life. If men work hard for a long time and ignore maintenance, it will lead to abnormal body conditions. Prostatitis is a prevalent disease in men. It may be a disease with mild or no symptoms, but some patients show symptoms, including urinary tract infections, sexual dysfunction, infertility, etc.

Therefore, patients should not take a hostile or blind attitude in treating the disease. For example, they should not carry heavy antibiotics regardless of the conditions. They should use individualized and comprehensive treatment. TCM can be used to classify the treatment of prostatitis.

Prostatitis is related to kidney deficiency in TCM, and the word "kidney" in TCM refers to the relationship between the genital system and urinary functions. There are different types of prostatitis in TCM, and they show the following symptoms in Western medicine: frequent, urgent, and painful urination, pain in and around the perineum, damp of the scrotum, weakness of the waist and knees, coldness and fear of cold, and abnormal sexual function. Many patients with prostatitis cannot cure the disease after several medical treatments or even surgery.

TCM believes that many disease symptoms are interconnected, and doctors should not treat one sign at a time. For painful urination in prostatitis patients, the doctors suggest that patients can use TCM to treat dialectically. For example, the traditional Chinese medicine Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill is a good choice, which works on the entire urinary and reproductive system simultaneously, effectively eliminating the inflammation in the body.

In TCM treatment for symptoms of prostatitis, such as painful urination, there are usually five conditions, and doctors should consider them according to specific situations:

1. Dampness and heat

Damp and heat are one of the most critical factors leading to prostatitis. The evil of dampness and heat is divided into the external invasion and internal birth. External invasions can be external humidity and heat fire poison. When Yunjie does not disappear, the evil of dampness and heat appears.

When the vulva is unclean, the prepuce is too long, or there is dirty sexual intercourse, the evil of dampness and heat from the lower body invades. Internal birth occurs when people are addicted to wine, meat, or spicy things. Then damp heat appears and invades the bladder, leading to the occurrence of the disease. In treating prostatitis caused by dampness and heat, patients should clear heat and moist.

2. Qi stagnation and blood stasis

The evil of dampness and heat is stored in the body for a long time, defeating the essence and stagnation; depression and injury to the liver lead to a slack flow of QI and blood, and the meridians are blocked. Thus QI and blood stagnation occur. The evil of cold can cause it. In treating prostatitis with QI stagnation and blood stasis in TCM, it is advisable to promote blood stasis, and QI and collaterals should be promoted.

3. Yin deficiency and fire

When there is extreme sex, men do not ejaculate after sex or are addicted to alcohol and stress; There is damage to Qi, so kidney essence deficiency occurs, which can also lead to the disease. Patients should tonic the liver, kidney, and apparent fire when treating prostatitis caused by Yin deficiency fire.

4. Asthenia of kidney yang

In the early stage of the disease, there is a deficiency of kidney yin, followed by loss of yin and yang, or the vegetative body Yang deficiency. Then the kidney QI deficiency and the failure to consolidate the sperm occur. In this treatment caused by kidney Yang failure, patients should warm kidney aphrodisiac.

5. Spleen deficiency dampness type

Spleen renin deficiency is due to a long-time injury to the spleen and kidney. When spleen Qi deficiency occurs, dampness is more challenging to eliminate. When kidney QI deficiency occurs, vigor easily disappears, and the function of clearing and turbidity is abnormal. In TCM treatment of spleen deficiency dampness type of prostatitis, strengthening the spleen and removing dampness is appropriate.

In conclusion, treating painful urination in prostatitis in TCM is to analyze its etiology specifically. The onset is related to factors such as delusions of phase fire, damage to the spleen and stomach, and stasis of defeated essence. It is closely related to the heart, spleen, kidneys, and other internal organs. At the same time, it is essential to treat the related symptoms in an integrated way.
