Epididymitis is often secondary to Urethritis, prostate Seminal Vesiculitis, urethral instrument operation and long-term indwelling catheter, and other urethral obstruction such as urethral stricture, benign prostatic hyperplasia is also one of the pathogenic factors of Epididymitis.

Most of the pathogens are Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, etc., and tuberculosis infection also has a growing trend.

Epididymitis is divided into acute epididymitis and Chronic Epididymitis.  So, what are the symptoms of Epididymitis? How to self-diagnosis? This is a problem that men need to solve.

Dr. Lee from Lee Xiaoping's TCM Clinic teaches you how to self-diagnose Epididymitis:

Epididymitis can be acute or chronic, and the etiology and symptoms can also be different. Therefore, the clinical diagnosis should be based on different symptoms.  There are mainly the following points, as follows:

Self-diagnosis points of acute epididymitis

Patients with acute epididymitis generally show high fever, chills, general malaise symptoms, sometimes urethral secretions, urgency, frequent urination.  In addition, Dr.Lee TCM Clinic also introduced that if the patient feels scrotal pain and it radiates to the ipsilateral groin and lower abdomen, it is aggravated when walking or standing; the scrotum is swollen rapidly, there is obvious tenderness, and the scrotal skin is red with edema. These symptoms, all can be initially judged as acute epididymitis.

Self-diagnosis of Chronic Epididymitis

Chronic Epididymitis is slightly different from acute epididymitis.  Chronic Epididymitis is generally characterized by thickening of the spermatic cord and vas deferens, hardening of the prostate with fibrous nodules and other chronic prostatitis.  Bilateral Chronic Epididymitis can cause infertility.

Chronic Epididymitis patients often present with scrotal pain, bloating, bulge, swelling, or can be radiated to the lower abdomen and ipsilateral thigh root; the affected side appears to have epididymis enlargement, mild tenderness, and clear boundaries with the testis.

Finally, Dr.Lee TCM Clinic also introduced that acute epididymitis will turn into Chronic Epididymitis if not cured after a long-term treatment, it is best to use natural treatments that do not produce drug resistance, such as oral tablet Diuretic and Anti-Inflammatory Pill, it is generally safer and has no side effects compared with chemical medicine, and the treatment is more thorough.  Diuretic and Anti-Inflammatory Pill of TCM formula is modified compatiblely on the basis of ancient recipes and its herbal ingredients have been recognized by the national patent, since there is no recurrence after the treatment of Epididymitis.
