How to Treat Testicular Pain & Sagging

Normal males have two testicles on the scrotum’s left and right sides, naturally hanging down. However, testicular pain and sagging warrant attention as they may indicate underlying health issues.

Poor personal hygiene and tight clothing for extended periods can contribute to these symptoms by irritating the testicular area and causing inflammation, leading to redness, heat, and pain.


4. Varicocele


Varicocele, the enlargement of the veins within the scrotum, can also cause testicular sagging. Additional symptoms include scrotal swelling on the affected side, a sensation of heaviness, and pain, which tends to worsen after physical exertion or prolonged standing and improve or disappear after lying down and resting.


Treatment Methods for Testicular pain & sagging:


1. Medication


Doctors typically prescribe antibiotics or other anti-inflammatory drugs for testicular sagging caused by inflammation. It is crucial to follow the prescribed dosage and duration of the medication and not to alter or discontinue the treatment without medical advice.

2. Physical Therapy

3. Surgical Treatment


For conditions like varicocele that require surgical intervention, the doctor will devise a surgical plan based on the patient's specific situation. Surgery typically offers an effective solution for testicular descent issues, but post-operative care and rest are essential for recovery.


In addition to the above treatment methods, patients should also pay attention to the following aspects of their daily lives:


1. Maintain cleanliness and dryness of the scrotum: Wash the area with warm water daily and avoid using harsh detergents. Keeping the scrotum area dry helps prevent inflammation and infection.


2. Choose breathable, loose-fitting underwear: Avoid wearing tight pants or jeans that can constrict the scrotum area.


3. Avoid prolonged sitting: Prolonged sitting can lead to poor blood circulation in the scrotum area, exacerbating testicular sagging. Taking breaks and moving around periodically is recommended to promote blood circulation.


4. Maintain a balanced diet: Consume foods rich in vitamins and minerals, such as fresh vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. Quit smoking and alcohol consumption, and avoid consuming too many spicy foods to prevent exacerbating inflammation.


5. Regular check-ups: Undergo regular medical examinations to promptly detect and address potential diseases that may cause testicular pain and sagging.
